About the role
Our Financial Crime Surveillance department is looking for our next Trading Surveillance Associate to join our Trading Surveillance team. In this role, you will play a key part in identifying, investigating, and preventing potential cases of market abuse across Saxo's global client base. Responsibilities
- As our new Trading Surveillance Associate, you will contribute to the day‑to‑day surveillance activities and investigations by:
- Monitoring trading and order activity to identify potentially suspicious or irregular behaviour
- Investigating alerts and patterns related to market abuse such as insider trading, market manipulation, wash trades, spoofing, and other prohibited practices
- Documenting investigations and escalating cases when required
- Supporting the continuous development and optimization of surveillance processes and controls
- Collaborating with colleagues across Compliance, Risk, and other relevant functions
- In this role, you will report to the Head of Market Abuse and Fraud. The position is based at our headquarters in Hellerup, Copenhagen.
- Your Profile

- Ideally, you:
- Have completed or are close to completing a Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Have a strong interest in trading, financial markets, and financial instruments (prior knowledge of all products is not required)
- Possess a solid understanding of how financial markets operate
- Are confident in making well‑reasoned decisions and taking ownership of your tasks
- Are structured, curious, and able to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Have prior experience with market surveillance, compliance, or knowledge of market rules and regulations (considered an advantage, but not a requirement)
