Team Overview: The Sectors and International Advisory Team, which is part of the Mid-Market Group, is looking for an experienced leader to join our team to deliver on our mandate of creating business opportunities for Canadian exporters and investors. In the role of the Director, Digital Technology and Advanced Manufacturing, you will leverage your extensive professional network, business development skills, industry expertise, leadership, people and industry skills (Canadian capabilities and global supply chains) to lead the development of prioritized industry sector strategies and generate new export business opportunities for Canadian companies through your team, both directly and indirectly. The position will focus on taking a leadership role in coordinating and executing EDC's corporate approach to prioritized sectors, by working collaboratively with a cross-functional network of subject matter experts such as EDC program leads and practitioners. This role will also include leading the Canadian exporter engagement in the Business Connection Program and other strategic initiatives. A key part of the success of this role is to support and enable other EDC teams to deliver results including capital deployment, market penetration and network connections. Ultimately, the role prioritizes and leverages a team to build new approaches to drive impact for Canadian exporters in the key sectors. The Director will leverage a network of Global Trade Directors and Associates to deliver the multi-program approach, internally and externally and will be heavily focused on using collaboration and influence to harness the power of other subject matter experts across the organization. The Director will have several direct reports including an Ecosystem Lead, Global Trade Directors and Associates.
