Senior Consultant for cost engineering, VAVE, benchmark analysis

About the role

Support and lead client projects on-site in national and international settings, from strategic concept development through to implementation. Assess and optimize product and process costs across the full product development lifecycle. Interpret and contribute to product development plans and translate technical requirements into cost engineering strategies. Leverage your engineering and design experience to work effectively with integrated, cross-functional teams. Collaborate with procurement functions and support cost-based negotiation strategies. Analyze and optimize product engineering solutions, with a focus on their integration and interdependencies. Apply cost engineering tools and methods to identify and implement cost improvement opportunities. Utilize knowledge of manufacturing processes to understand cost implications for components and systems. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (with technical focus); an MBA is a plus. 4-7 years of experience in consulting or industry, ideally in development, production, or procurement roles. Strong technical foundation and expert-level knowledge in product engineering and cost management. Industry experience in automotive, off-highway, industrial goods, aerospace, or electronics is highly valued. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to think analytically, creatively, and strategically. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including fluency in English. High degree of mobility and willingness to travel frequently. Passion for working on cost optimization projects and delivering measurable results.
