About the role
You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (ENTARCH) in the Headquarters Command Information Office (CIO) Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING SYSTEMS COMMAND. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Promoting and educating customers and stakeholders on the use and value of the enterprise architecture. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency includes: Ensuring technical integration is achieved across the enterprise by participating in test planning, validation, and reviews. In addition to the above, your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Evaluating organizational missions, business processes, and goals to develop and govern a comprehensive Enterprise Architecture plan. This involves ensuring all proposed technical solutions are interoperable with broader agency, Navy (DON), and Defense (DoD) environments while directly supporting strategic mission priorities. 2. Acting as a primary change agent to drive large-scale modernization and system integration efforts. This includes continuously assessing business needs against current Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT) infrastructures, and developing actionable strategies to modify those infrastructures to meet short- and long-range organizational objectives. 3. Directing the architectural planning process using advanced project management methodologies and specialized architecture modeling toolsets. This involves evaluating, selecting, and advising technical teams and senior leadership on the application of these tools to effectively document, maintain, and enhance the enterprise architecture portfolio. and 4. Organizing and preparing decision-ready briefing materials and recommendations to executive governance and maintaining the integrated IT strategic roadmap for the command.
