Mechanical Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Support machining, 3D printing, mechanical assembly, rework and prototyping.
• Maintain mechanical, electronics, and physics lab spaces, including tools, inventory, safety, and cleanliness.
• Assist with sensor installation, packing, and field survey preparation for quantum gravimeter systems.
• Work with engineers and physicists during system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and deployment.
• Attend company-funded technical courses to upskill across relevant technical domains.

Requirements

• ITE Nitec / Higher Nitec, Polytechnic Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Hands-on experience with basic machining, workshop tools, assembly, or 3D printing.
• Able to read simple drawings, follow work instructions, and use basic measuring tools.
• Good attitude toward safety, cleanliness, ownership, and hands-on problem solving.
• No prior quantum technology experience required.
• Soldering experience and basic knowledge of electronics and optics.

Role Overview As a Mechanical Lab Technician, you will provide critical technical support for our machining (Lathe, Milling, Cutting, Drilling) 3D printing and assembly. You will also manage the lab-space (Mech, Electronics and Physics labs) ensuring inventory, safety and cleanliness. You will have to take courses (funded by the company) to upskill in different technical domains.
