Platform Engineer

About the role

You will work across AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps tooling to build internal platforms, automate infrastructure, and improve developer experience. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on reliability, automation, and enabling self-service capabilities across the organisation.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code
• Build and operate Kubernetes-based platforms using Docker, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD
• Develop automation and platform services using Go, Python, and Bash
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and/or Bamboo
• Support API management and integration platforms (e.g., Apigee)
• Implement secure authentication and identity solutions (OIDC, workload identity federation)
• Develop self-service tooling and APIs for engineering teams
• Troubleshoot and improve platform reliability, scalability, and performance
• Strong experience in cloud and platform engineering roles
• Hands-on expertise with AWS and Kubernetes environments
• Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform) and automation
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and DevOps/GitOps workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability and developer experience
• Exposure to API gateways and security best practices
