Systems Engineer

About the role

Cloudflare is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our Singapore team. In this mid-to-senior level role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and scaling the core infrastructure that powers Cloudflare's global network. You will work on improving the reliability, security, and performanceof our systems, ensuring seamless delivery of our services to millions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Scale & Optimize: Design, develop, and maintain large-scale, distributed systems and infrastructure.
• Automation: Build and improve automation tools for provisioning, configuration management, anddeployment.
• Reliability: Diagnose and resolve complex system bottlenecks, performance issues, and architecturalgaps.
• Collaboration: Partner with global engineering teams to architect resilient features and participate in a non-call rotation to keep our network running 24/7.

Requirements

• Experience: 4+ years experience in Systems Engineering, SRE, or DevOps in a high-scale productionenvironment.
• Systems Expertise: Deep understanding of Linux internals, networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, DNS),and OS performance tuning.
• Coding Skills: Proficiency in languages like Go, Rust, Python, or C/C++.
• Core Competency: Strong experience with containerization, orchestration (Kubernetes), andinfrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
