You'll have the opportunity to: Design and build data pipelines and data-intensive applications Work across large-scale datasets in complex engineering environments Contribute to modern data platforms and distributed systems Collaborate with engineers and clients to deliver production-ready solutions Take ownership of delivery within high-impact programmes Work with modern tools and frameworks across data engineering Your Responsibilities: Design and build scalable data pipelines and processing systems Develop data solutions using Python, SQL, or similar technologies Work with distributed processing frameworks such as Spark or Databricks Build and optimise data workflows across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Implement orchestration frameworks such as Airflow Test, troubleshoot, and improve data products to ensure reliability and quality Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver robust, maintainable systems Key Requirements: Experience building data-intensive applications and pipelines Strong programming skills in Python and SQL Experience working with at least some of: Distributed computing frameworks (e.g. Spark, Databricks) Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Workflow orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow) Strong understanding of data system reliability, testing, and performance Experience troubleshooting and improving production data systems Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work in collaborative, delivery-focused environments UK national, eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC) You will gain exposure with: Large-scale data engineering within defence and secure environments Modern cloud-based data platforms and distributed systems End-to-end data pipeline design and optimisation High-assurance, real-world engineering challenges Embedded delivery within client environments Why Join: Work on mission-critical data systems with real-world impact Operate in a high-performance, engineering-focused environment Take ownership of meaningful technical delivery Gain exposure to complex, high-assurance systems Flexible working across Newcastle, Manchester, Bristol, and London Interested?
