About the role

👩💻👨💻About the role Only four years after entering the market, Mondu is one of Europe's leading B2B payments providers. Now live across 30+ markets, trusted by ambitious companies, and operating with an EMI license, we're expanding our commercial footprint in Europe and beyond. We are now looking for a (Senior) Sales Manager to drive forward the commercial expansion of our French market. Operating from our Amsterdam HQ, you will own the full sales lifecycle-from working with our BDRs (Business Development Representatives) in identifying high-value targets, to closing complex deals that reshape how merchants offer their customers flexible payments. 🚧 What you'll do The simplified answer here would be to sell-sell-sell, but not only that! Pipeline Management & Enterprise Closing : Own, manage, and scale the sales pipeline for France together with the BDRs; targeting mid-market to enterprise-level businesses, platforms, and digital merchants. Strategic Market Expansion: Execute a localised go-to-market strategy for the French market, positioning our fintech solutions against local competitors by highlighting our unique value propositions. Complex Deal Negotiation: Lead end-to-end commercial negotiations with French C-suite executives, procurement leads, and legal teams, structuring complex commercial contracts that balance profitability with client success. Consultative Selling & Product Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to prospective clients, deeply understanding their payments architecture, checkout friction, or cash-flow challenges to position the optimal fintech solution. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Risk, and Legal teams across our offices to ensure our features align with French market requirements, customer feedback, and compliance standards. 🏅What you need to succeed We are looking for an ambitious, results-driven sales professional who knows the French business landscape inside out and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment: Professional Sales Experience: A proven track record in B2B sales, account management, or business development (typically 4+ years), ideally within fintech, SaaS, payments, or e-commerce platforms. Market Knowledge: A solid understanding of the French commercial ecosystem, localised payment preferences, and how French businesses evaluate and decide on financial payment options. Tooling: Solid experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or similar, as well as experience with additional tools like Claude, LinkedIn Sales, and Gemini. The abovementioned experience will reduce friction in getting you fully operational within our thorough onboarding phase! Commercial & Analytical Mindset: Strong negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to navigate long, complex sales cycles, handle objections, and close revenue against quarter-on-quarter targets. Linguistic Excellence: Business fluency in French, alongside professional proficiency in English. You must be comfortable pitching, negotiating contracts, and building deep relationships entirely in French. Location & Workplace Presence: You must be currently based in or willing to relocate to the Amsterdam area. While we champion hybrid flexibility, regular in-person collaboration at our Amsterdam office is vital for strategic alignment, team synergy, and staying connected to our core culture. 🎁 What's in it for you? € 300 per year for you to endorse team build, including dinners, games, and events. A generous learning and development budget to expand your professional skills. 28 vacation days per year (increasing 1 day every year up to 30). Hybrid working model where we welcome you to our office in the center of Amsterdam 3 days a week. Take advantage of our Workation policy, allowing for up to 6 weeks every year of work outside of the Netherlands (some restrictions apply). Subsidised gym membership to boost your physical and mental well-being. €54 per month towards public transport costs. Tax relief for payments into our Business Bike scheme. A company where you can accelerate your career and take ownership of your work in a flat hierarchy where 360 feedback is encouraged. 🦸 Are you a Monduneer in disguise? Working in a truly diverse group makes us stronger and more resilient. Furthermore, it enables an unfair advantage - the opportunity to learn from each other, see different perspectives, and consider a broader range of variables in our decision-making. That is what being a Monduneer is all about. Thus, regardless of your background, age, disability, gender, parental status, race, religion, sexual orientation, educational background, or any other aspect you feel is a statement of your diversity, we look forward to discussing your role in mind. If you believe you are a Monduneer in disguise, and it's time for you to shine, submit your application, and we'll take it from there. 💜 Meet Mondu Mondu is changing the B2B payments ecosystem by providing payment solutions that
