Responsibilities
- The Associate General Counsel will be responsible for a wide range of legal and corporate matters for Alarm.com and its acquired venture businesses. Key responsibilities include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including software, technology, services, vendor, reseller, manufacturer, licensing, and other commercial contracts.

Requirements
- J.D. from a leading law school.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an in-house or large law firm environment, with start-up, software, or technology industry experience highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple matters with competing priorities, meet deadlines, stay organized, problem-solve, and adapt to change within a growing company while maintaining an excellent bedside manner.
- Superior interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate with empathy, professionalism, and clarity, and to build strong, trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Excellent judgment and proven ability to work independently while proactively seeking guidance or input as appropriate.
- Proven organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Highly skilled in standard office software and able to adapt quickly to new technologies.
- Membership in, or eligibility for admission to, the Virginia Bar (including Corporate Counsel admission).
