This role serves as a key link between technical training and shop floor operations, ensuring employees develop the skills needed to improve quality, reduce scrap and rework, and drive overall production performance. This position maintains a strong presence on the production floor and partners closely with operations to identify and close technical skill gaps. Essential Functions: Assess training needs on the production floor and identify technical competency gaps impacting quality, efficiency, and productivity Develop and maintain technical competency matrices across manufacturing processes Coordinate and support training programs using TWI (Training Within Industry) methodology Evaluate operator skill levels and support certification readiness and technical release decisions Partner with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve training effectiveness and performance outcomes Support and guide instructors and coaches to ensure consistent training delivery and alignment with operational goals Monitor learning curves, cross-training coverage, and early-stage employee performance (30-60-90 day evaluations) Develop, update, and standardize work instructions to reflect best practices and operational standards Analyze training data and generate reports to support continuous improvement and decision-making Participate in process improvement initiatives focused on scrap reduction, rework reduction, and productivity gains Additional duties as assigned
