Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day Thermal facility operations at sites under your supervision, ensuring safe, efficient and reliable production.
- Oversee multiple locations, providing direction and technical support to meet operational and maintenance targets.
- Collaborate closely with maintenance, engineering, finance, health and safety, and other operations teams to coordinate activities and optimize performance.
- Lead safety performance, ensuring compliance with occupational and process safety standards and driving continuous improvement.
- Monitor and control production, OPEX and GHG performance, identifying and implementing optimization opportunities.
- Exercise independent decision-making authority on operational priorities.
Requirements
- Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- 10+ years of experience in operations with minimum 3 years leadership experience
- Minimum high school diploma
- 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate or higher
- We acknowledge the value of transferrable skills and may consider equivalent combinations of experience and education should you not meet a specific requirement.
- As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
- For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
