Truck Driver CDL A - Tri-State Area - Home Every Night

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains appropriate paperwork and records related to shipment of deliveries.
• Maintains vehicle and equipment operational records.
• Requires obtaining and exchanging information, referring inquiries to the appropriate source, or responding to questions regarding shipments.
• Knowledge of state laws pertaining to the operation of equipment on highways.
• Education:
• High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent is required.
• Must possess a valid CDL Class A New Jersey driver's license.
• 3 - 5 years' experience operating a tractor trailer.
• Knowledge of the principles of operation of motor equipment (sufficient to detect defective operation)
• Clean driving record - Must have an updated MVR,
• Updated DOT Physical card
• Able to pass a road test
• Knowledge of the Northeast Region / Tristate area
• Knowledge of the food service industry a plus
• Have the ability to drive either manual or automatic transmissions.
• Ability to drive new updated equipment
• Starting time varies based on location being delivered.
• Occasional weekends
• Physical: Sitting for extended periods of time including continuous strenuous activities such as frequent reaching, bending. The employee will also be required to use hands, arms and fingers. Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds. Ability to communicate (verbal and written).
• Pay Range: $49,514 Base Salary, plus bi-weekly incentives listed below:
• PICK UPS $55.00
• LEASE LINE $50.00
• RYDER $50.00
• PALLET BREAKDOWN $5.00
• STOPS $15.00
• TRAILER / YARD MOVES $20.00
• BOTTLES $50.00
• 2ND ROUNDTRIP RATE $90
• 3RD ROUNDTRIP RATE $135
• TRIP MILES OVER 300 - 0.17 PER MILE
