About the role

The Customer Journey team at Postman is responsible for shaping how users experience the product from their first interaction through to becoming active, engaged customers. We own the critical paths between sign-up and purchase including new user onboarding and the moments where users discover and adopt key features. As Postman expands what it means to be a customer, from enterprise organizations to teams of engineers to individual developers working with AI agents, this team plays a central role in defining and evolving those experiences. We're looking for a Senior Engineer who is excited to build and improve product journeys end-to-end. You'll work at the intersection of product, design, and engineering to create intuitive, high-quality experiences that help users find value in Postman-whether they're exploring on their own or collaborating as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Own and improve key product journeys from sign-up through onboarding, feature discovery, and purchase
  • Build and refine user experiences that help developers and teams quickly understand and realize the value of Postman
  • Design and implement features that drive adoption of core platform capabilities across different user types (individuals, teams, and AI-assisted workflows)
  • Partner closely with Product, Design, and Data to identify opportunities and prioritize improvements across the user journey
  • Use experimentation and analytics to inform decisions and validate the impact of changes
  • Develop a deep understanding of how developers use Postman-individually and collaboratively-and apply those insights to improve the product
  • Iterate quickly, delivering thoughtful, incremental improvements that compound over time
  • Contribute to the evolution of our onboarding and discovery systems as the product and customer base continue to grow

  • Experience using data, analytics, or experimentation to guide product decisions
  • Strong product sense and attention to detail-you care deeply about how things work and feel
  • Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problem spaces and drive them to clear outcomes
  • Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating across functions
  • Curiosity about how developers work, and a desire to build tools that make them more effective
  • Experience with full-stack JavaScript / TypeScript
  • Experience with state management tools like MobX
  • Experience working on B2B products, developer tools, or AI-powered experiences
