(dba 3rd Eye) Job Title: Field Service Technician Job Code: [REQ 12997] Job Location: 106 45th Street NE, Fort Payne, AL 35967 Job Type: Full Time Rate of Pay: $87,945/year Duties: Receive customer inquiries regarding all company products and resolve customer problems, including trouble-shooting assistance via telephone and ability to repair Environmental Solutions Group products in the field. Repair machine through modems online with PC and send programs to customers and communicate through e-mail. Revise and modify engineering designs in the field to include PLC/controller programming hydraulic and electrical circuits for more efficient operation of Environmental Solutions Group products. Inspect products at various stages of production process to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products, and work in plant departments to learn new products. Complete periodic reports, including evaluating data collecting and writing summaries to validate or show deviations from quality standards, and present pertinent information from field start-ups in writing or verbally. Verify accounting reports for all accounts associated with the Service Department. Drive company and personal vehicles and use airlines for field service visits, including assisting customers with installations, training, and troubleshooting. Domestic (U.S.) and international travel is required up to 25% to attend training sessions, workshops and seminars. Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or in a Field Service Technician-related occupation. Alternatively, employer will accept no degree and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a Field Service Technician-related occupation. Position requires the following skills: Demonstrable experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment; Demonstrable experience with program ECUs and document service reports; Demonstrable experience testing hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, and prototype systems, and operating specialized test equipment and recorded performance data; Demonstrable experience using mobile devices, software, and digital documentation including MACK Software (Tech Tool), PACCAR (DAVIE4), Cummins (Insite), CAN Trace (PCAN-View), and IFM (Maintenance); Demonstrable experience using Visual and Measurement Tools; Demonstrable experience with Electrical and Power Diagnostics tools (Clamp meter, multimeter, Welding ammeters voltmeters and Power analyzer); Demonstrable experience with Gas Troubleshooting Tools (Flowmeter, gas analyzer, Leak detection spray, and Regulator testing tools); Demonstrable experience with Visual and Dimensional Inspection Tools (Tape measure, Body tram gauge, Plumb bobs & string lines, Straight edges / angle finders, Laser measurement tools, and Digital calipers).
