The Senior Director, Chief Security Officer will provide leadership and support for the strategy and execution of global security initiatives at Sandisk. This leader will build a vision, grounded in risk management, in support of the company's accountability to its shareholders, business goals, and execution strategies. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead global, enterprise-wide, security programs and continuously scale mitigation strategies to address evolving risks. Develop and implement the strategy, governance, processes, and practices with respect to physical security, security operations, security systems and technology, executive protection, travel security, event security, threat management, intelligence, security-incident response, crisis management, insider threat, security training and awareness, supply-chain security, and security investigations. Serve as the senior most incident commander and crisis manager for security-related incidents at Sandisk. Strategically attract, retain, and develop talent; craft and implement sustainable organizational resilience via proactive succession planning. Deliver leadership and accountability to Sandisk's executive leadership, engaging as appropriate with Sandisk's Board of Directors, including the Audit Committee and Compensation and Talent Committee. Maintain a strong network of and drive strategic engagement with government contacts (e.g., FBI/DSAC, State Dept./OSAC, local and international law enforcement), industry partners, peer companies, and private- and public-sector peer groups (e.g., ISMA, security working groups). Partner closely with Legal, People Experience, and other stakeholder groups as required to conduct security investigations relating to policy violations, misconduct, criminal activity, workplace threats, and other potential risks to Sandisk and our employees. Oversee the global security budget, including staffing and capital expenditures, to support the overall strategy. Collaborate cross-functionally as the expert in security-related risk management to develop clear and practical risk-based strategies that support our business needs. Previous government intelligence, national security, threat analysis, law enforcement, and/or related government experience preferred. Ability and willingness to work irregular work hours to handle emergencies and off-hour security needs. Required to travel as needed, both domestic and international, with duration dependent on security needs. Ability to drive operational efficiencies, standardized security services, and seamless cross-functional collaborations across the global ecosystem. Crisis leadership and sound decision-making under pressure and in ambiguous environments. Experience and understanding in all facets of enterprise security matters. Experience collaborating and building strong relationships with senior leaders, government agencies (domestic and foreign), and security peers. Experience in selection and management of third party vendors to help protect employees, corporate assets and IP, and facilities. Experience building and leading protective services functions (e.g., executive protection, travel security, and event security). Demonstrated record of strong leadership, guidance, and team-building skills. REQUIRED: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience 15+ years of progressive experience in corporate security, law enforcement, and/or military, with at least 5 years of corporate-security leadership, including direct support of C-suite executives preferred.
