Purpose of the Role: We are looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Barista to join our team on a casual-hours basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a customer-facing environment, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and can work flexibly around the needs of the business. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving hot and cold drinks, supporting food service where required, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and creating a welcoming experience for customers, guests and visitors. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks to a high standard. - Deliver excellent customer service in a friendly and professional manner. - Take orders, handle payments and operate the till system. - Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the café, barista station and customer areas. - Restock products, supplies and consumables as needed. - Support with food service, clearing tables and general front-of-house duties. - Follow food safety, health and safety, and allergen procedures. - Work effectively as part of a team during busy periods, events and day-to-day service. - Represent the organisation positively at all times. Person Specification: Previous experience in a café, hospitality or customer service role is essential. Barista experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. Strong communication and people skills. Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment. Reliable, punctual and flexible with working hours. A positive attitude and willingness to learn. Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards. You will need to have the Right to Work in the UK or be able to obtain this by the start date. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Hours, benefits and salary: There are no set hours associated with this role and you will work on a casual basis. Hours may include working match days, evenings and weekends. The rate of pay for this role is £13.71 per hour.
