About the role

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Communication & Engagement Executive will be tasked with responsibilities in the areas of stakeholder management, fundraising and communications. The Executive reports to the Manager to build strong and long-term relationships with stakeholders, obtain the necessary resources and support for DSA and establish DSA as a trusted and preferred Centre of Excellence serving individuals with Down syndrome and other special needs, their families and the community. Stakeholder Management Through effective communication, build and maintain positive relationships with DSA stakeholders, including but not limited to DSA members, donors, sponsors, community partners, volunteers, public, and media. Collaborate with service providers, government agencies, academic institutions, and community organisations to develop and deliver public education, awareness, corporate communications, and community partnership programmes. Coordinate with corporates, education institutions and the public on CSRs initiatives. Organise member outings and engagement activities in collaboration with external partners and stakeholders. Membership Manage and maintain an up-to-date membership database, including tracking new applications and renewals, and ensuring renewal notices are issued in a timely manner with appropriate follow-up. Coordinate the preparation and timely distribution of welcome kits to newly approved members to ensure a positive onboarding experience. Plan and implement engagement strategies and activities to re-engage non-active members, encourage participation in DSA programmes, and strengthen connections within the DSA community. Community outreach and awareness efforts through various channels, including free and paid events, to promote DSA as the Centre of Excellence for Down Syndrome in Singapore. Support initiatives to increase public awareness, membership growth, and sustained engagement of Persons with Down syndrome and their families through effective communications and community outreach. Fundraising Supports the team in their fundraising efforts by assisting with planning, coordination, and execution of community outreach and fundraising events Management of corporate and private DSA merchandise sales, through physical or online portals, including coordination of inventory, pricing, sales tracking, and fulfilment through both physical events and online platforms. Other Duties Prepare accurate and timely progress reports and project reports to both internal and external stakeholders. Review, develop, and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) where necessary. Maintain updated and secure database and information to data analysis and data-driven approach towards stakeholders management and fundraising efforts. Ensure compliance with relevant statutory requirements and guidelines. Any other duties as may be assigned by the Reporting Officer and/or Executive Director.
