Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of machinists and technicians through daily work assignments, personnel development, and frequent feedback. Responsible for recruiting, mentoring, leading, training and supervising up to 25 machinists and technicians

- Drive shop floor culture of continuous improvement and maintain 5S protocols. Manage tooling inventory, cost, and storage
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate
- 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing role
- PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 5+ years of experience in the role of a CNC machinist
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) with engineering and production teams at all levels of the business
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing operations, especially machining processes
- ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work 1 of the following shifts:
- 1st shift (start time: 5:00AM)
- 2nd shift (start time: 2:30PM)

- Pay range:
- Supervisor: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00/per year

The Supervisor of Starship Machining will guide a team of machinists and deburr technicians to build out a new world-class machine shop, own Starship low-cost high-precision valve parts, drive high safety and quality standards, grow machining expertise, generate creative solutions to overcome issues, and spearhead a production schedule to keep downstream valve assemblies fed at an increasing launch rate.
