- The following are the primary duties and responsibilities of this role. Other related duties may be assigned to meet the business need.
- Train staff on updated RCM procedures, medical coding, and billing guidelines.
- Provide expert guidance during client meetings and internal reviews.
- Act as the primary knowledge source for RCM processes such as billing, cash posting, credit balance, accounts receivables, denial management, and correspondence review.
- Monitor RCM metrics like Days in AR, aging above 90 days, collections, and bad debt.
- Allocate work and track team performance with operational scorecards.
- Investigate claim denials, identify root causes, and implement strategies to reduce denial rates.
- Oversee collections follow-up to ensure timely payments from insurers and patients.
- Prepare and submit appeals for denied claims in compliance with payer guidelines.
- Generate daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports using billing systems and MS Excel.
- Identify trends and patterns in accounts receivable and initiate corrective action plans.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on data analysis.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA, state, and federal healthcare regulations.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and revenue.
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain the integrity of the RCM process
- Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of US Healthcare RCM, especially AR follow-up, denial management, and payer guidelines.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with neutral accent and active listening.
- Proficiency in working with practice management systems, payer portals, and MS Office tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask while working with multiple systems.
- Flexibility to work in night shifts/US time zones.
- Team player with the ability to mentor and support junior staff.
- Ability to work 5 days a week in Hyderabad office
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years in healthcare RCM with proven expertise.
- Medical terminology, CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written).
