Join the University of Sydney as the Senior Manager Investigations and lead important work that supports integrity, accountability and trust across a dynamic and complex organisation. In this role, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of complex and sensitive investigations into allegations of wrongdoing. You will ensure investigations are conducted efficiently, fairly and in line with policy and legislation, including the NSW Public Interest Disclosures Act 2022. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will provide expert advice, oversee reporting, and drive continuous improvement in investigative practices. The Senior Manager Investigations role has one direct report, Senior Investigator. This team works closely with the Chief Internal Audit Officer. Your key responsibilities will be to: lead complex and sensitive investigation activities, delivering high-integrity and high quality outcomes provide strong leadership, guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders across the University, positioning yourself as a valued advisor oversee external investigation providers, coordinating work allocation, stakeholder engagement, financial management and the delivery of high-quality investigation outcomes and reports maintain strong, professional relationships with external oversight and integrity bodies, including NSW ICAC and the NSW Ombudsman. About you tertiary or postgraduate qualifications in relevant field minimum certificate IV in Government Investigations hold a valid National Police Check proven experience leading and delivering complex, sensitive and confidential investigations within large public sector organisations, ideally within higher education strong investigative expertise, including planning, interviewing, evidence analysis and report writing demonstrated experience working with multidisciplinary teams to manage sensitive information, protect reporters, and identify and mitigate associated risks, including managing Public Interest Disclosure matters exceptional judgement and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and integrity.
