Procurement Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to support our fleet operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective supply of goods and services to vessels worldwide. This is a hands-on operational role with direct responsibility for a team of buyers , and full accountability for delivery performance to the fleet.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all procurement deliveries meet vessel schedules - no delays, no surprises
• Manage and develop a team of buyers (direct reports)
• Work directly with Vessel Managers and Technical teams on daily operational needs
• Drive cost control and challenge supplier pricing
• Manage supplier performance (cost, quality, delivery)
• Resolve urgent and critical supply issues impacting vessels
• Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and systems

Requirements

• 6-10 years maritime procurement experience
• Hands-on experience with tankers, bulk carriers or heavy lift vessels
• Proven experience managing a team
• Strong understanding of vessel operations, spares, and logistics
• Ability to work under pressure and handle urgent situations
• Experience with BASSnet or similar procurement systems
