  • Essential job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Manages daily transactions and monitors expenses and generates regular and special financial reports for internal and external distribution, including, but not limited to fiscal year salary; labor distribution; PR projection; time-off; and worker history.
  • Administers timely, accurate personnel and payroll functions for all Departments at CHLA, including cost-allocation changes and the processing of Payroll Accounting Adjustments as well as accessing and retrieving payroll and HR data and onboarding grad students.
  • The manager follows and strengthens standard operating procedures in conjunction with the school and university and the CHLA Medical Group, coordinating employment and compensation.
  • The manager researches and identifies funding sources, contracts, grants, and gifts, and establishes and prepares budgets and follows up for awards and funding.
  • Follows established USC and department policies, procedures, objectives, performance improvement, attendance, safety, environmental, and infection control guidelines, including adherence to the workplace Code of Conduct and Compliance Plan.
  • This position is hybrid and employee must report to work at the Children's Hospital Los Angeles Glendale location when scheduled. Work hours and on-site days may be subject to change depending on business needs.
  • Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education
  • Minimum Experience: 3 years, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience
  • Minimum Field of Expertise: Business administration, accounting or related degree and budget experience including knowledge of government and fund accounting. Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
