The stipend aims to encourage students to gain meaningful experience and to alleviate financial burdens of accepting unpaid public service work. Eligibility Criteria: Must be a currently-enrolled law student in good academic standing on the date of stipend disbursal Must secure a full-time summer placement (minimum 8 weeks of at least 30 hours per week) with nonprofit, governmental, or public service organization The placement must be unpaid or provide only minimal compensation (less than $1,000) The student must demonstrate a commitment to public service Must have been approved by members of the committee.
