Staff Engineer, Software Development Engineering (Apps)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support fast, safe, and automated deployments.
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and cloud environment management.
• Build internal tools, manage applications and scripts that improve engineering workflows.
• Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with developers, stakeholders, and ops teams to ensure smooth delivery of software.
• Experience : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer for 5+ years, with strong development experience
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in CI/CD and version control tools (GitHub, GitHub Actions, git), cloud platforms (AWS), configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
• Programming and Scripting : Strong experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Containerization : Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Infrastructure as Code : Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Process : Implement branching strategies and code review processes to enhance code quality and collaboration.
• Monitoring and Logging : Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or Splunk.
• System and networking : Familiarity with system administration tasks, including managing Linux and Windows servers, configuring network services, and ensuring system security and performance optimization.
• Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Communication : Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Certifications : Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, DevOps tools, or related technologies are a plus.
• Security Compliance : Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
