Your part in our UnitingCare team As a Youth Worker , you'll play a pivotal role in supporting young people and families within the Family Support, ASPIRE, and Targeted Family Support programs in Townsville. In this rewarding role, you will work collaboratively with the team to provide a holistic and strengths-based approach to care. You will support not only the individual needs of young people, but also the wellbeing of the family unit as a whole. In line with the case plans, the Youth Worker: Supports young people, parents and carers by facilitating their participation and inclusion in the community. Assist and empower individuals to build skills, independence and social connections Encourage and guide clients to make informed decisions about their lives and future pathways Deliver therapeutic, person-centred support to young people and their families What makes a difference for us? A relevant qualification in Youth Work, or working toward a bachelor's degree in social sciences, Behavioural Sciences, or a related field (and/or equivalent experience) Demonstrated experience working in the community sector supporting vulnerable children, young people, and families. Proven ability to engage therapeutically with youth and families in a professional and empathetic manner.
