About the role

Marymount seeks a Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer (VP/CIO) to provide visionary, strategic, and operational leadership for the university's technology services. Major Duties and Responsibilities Lead development and execution of a future-ready IT strategy that enables innovation, sustainability, and institutional effectiveness across all academic, administrative, and research areas. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, agility, digital equity, and user-centric service delivery throughout the Information Technology Services (ITS) organization. Evaluate and adopt transformative technologies , including artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and automated business practices, to enhance learning, advising, research, and decision-making. Ensure robust cybersecurity governance, regulatory compliance (e.g., GLBA, FERPA, HIPAA, NIST 800-171), and proactive risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of university data and systems. Provide leadership in data governance , institutional analytics, and business intelligence to enable data-informed and equitable decision-making at all levels of the institution. Direct the management and optimization of enterprise systems, including Workday for HR, finance, and student applications, Canvas as a learning management system, digital identity and access controls, and the Microsoft 365 application platform. Oversee the campus network and telecommunications infrastructure , including next-generation wireless deployments (e.g., Wi-Fi 6E/7), cloud-based communication systems, Internet of Things (IoT) integrations, and campus safety/security technologies (e.g., cameras, card readers, emergency notification systems).
