Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and timely repairs on pipeline mechanical equipment-including pumps, valves, mixers, motors, seals, and measurement systems-to minimize downtime and efficiency loss.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and respond as a first responder during emergencies, accomplishing lock-outs and open-system job plans safely and effectively.
  • Complete all work according to DOT regulations and company O&M procedures. Adhere to strict safety standards and attend all required safety and technical training.
  • Apply the maintenance management system (e.g., Maximo or equivalent experience) to detail work, maintain accurate station records, and support drawing updates and as-built submissions.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical and Electrical Technicians, Technical Supervisors, Control Center operators, and project teams to plan, schedule, and complete maintenance and construction activities efficiently.
  • Support projects and operations through activities such as build reviews, commissioning, station upkeep, and maintaining positive working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
  • Contribute to a strong team culture by mentoring peers, supporting outreach initiatives (including first responder engagement), and assisting with general station housekeeping and operational readiness.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
  • Excellent trouble shooting ability.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to operate autonomously with minimal oversight.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Effective computer skills.
  • Valid driver's license & good driving record.
  • Must live (or relocate) within 25 miles of the reporting location.
  • Preferred:
  • Completion of an approved mechanical apprenticeship program or 2 year mechanical technical/vocational degree.
  • Experience in maintenance of crude oil pipeline, tank farm or delivery facilities or certified technical designation.
  • Familiarity with pertinent equipment (pumps, motors, valves, switchgear, programmable logic controls, motor control centers and instrumentation).
  • Working Conditions:
  • Available for emergency call via mobile phone, or home phone 24 hours a day.
  • Periodically designated as on-call technician for a week at a time.
  • 75% field mechanical maintenance work and 25% field office work.
  • Occasional work in extreme cold and extreme heat.
  • Must be capable of physically handling strenuous manual tasks such as climbing storage tanks and lifting weights up to 50lbs.
  • Work often required in high noise level areas and areas where vapor from crude oil and solvents may be present.
  • Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record
  • Overnight travel of 10-40 days per year may be required.
  • Primarily field oriented (outdoor) with specific office (indoor) functions for training, meetings and documentation of required tasks, dictated by Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies for which Enbridge must comply.

  • Ranges from $29.25 - $40.00 hourly USD based upon candidate's experience, skills, and internal equity.
