About Our Team: Due to the continued growth and expansion of our Energy business, we are seeking to strengthen our Project Management Office (PMO) capability and to recruit an Apprentice Project Manager to support the delivery of AECOM's Great Grid Programme (GGP). This role is intended to start in July 2026, with a view to enrolling with a training provider and commencing external training in September 2026. The PMO is central to ensuring effective planning, reporting, risk management and stakeholder coordination across a complex and high-profile portfolio of projects that are critical to the UK's energy transition. Our GGP PMO work includes: - Supporting programme-wide coordination across multiple project workstreams to ensure successful delivery - Assisting with project planning, scheduling, reporting and performance tracking - Supporting risk, issue and change management processes - Working with project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with programme controls and governance requirements - Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of PMO processes, tools and reporting Projects AECOM is at the forefront of delivering major energy infrastructure programmes that are critical to enabling the UK's future energy system. Responsibilities will also include but are not limited to: Supporting project directors, managers, and wider project teams in the delivery of projects, including environmental impact assessments. Supporting on the governance and financial control of Projects Supporting on project change control Stakeholder and communications management Estimating, Planning and Scheduling Procurement and Contract Management Risk Management Quality Management Attendance at and participation in project team meetings, client meetings and internal meetings, including training sessions Prioritising tasks and meeting commitments on an on-going basis and taking ownership and responsibility for the completion and quality of work.
