Specialised Teacher

Responsibilities

• Co-create lesson plans with mainstream teacher
• Co-teach with mainstream teacher
• Promote Deaf awareness and provide accessibility support
• Develop and implement specialised intervention programmes to support academic behaviour and social emotional development
• Develop and implement assessment methods that accommodate the communication modes and abilities of the HL students.
• Attend and participate in SADeaf events and meetings
• To succeed in this role, you should :
• Have achieved SgSL Course Level 3 or at least SEE2 Advanced Stage
• Have a degree in any field, preferably with additional diploma in special education
• Relevant qualifications and experience in teaching (preferred)
• Preferably with experience in interacting with the Deaf community
• Full-time contract, with potential for renewal.
