QS Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the full spectrum of quantity surveying and contract administration duties for assigned projects.
• Lead cost planning, budgeting, tender evaluation, procurement, and subcontractor appointment.
• Review and manage progress claims, variation orders, extension of time claims, loss and expense claims, and contractual correspondences.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, budget movement, and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare cost reports, payment recommendations, subcontract agreements, and final accounts.
• Work closely with project teams, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve commercial and contractual matters.
• Advise management and project teams on contractual obligations, claim strategy, risk exposure, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Lead and mentor QS team members to ensure timely and accurate commercial deliverables.
• Ensure proper documentation, records, and compliance with company procedures and contract requirements.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Building, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant QS / contracts experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
• Strong experience in Singapore construction projects, preferably with a main contractor.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement, cost control, variation claims, and final account settlement.
• Able to manage multiple stakeholders and lead a team in a fast-paced project environment.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, or large-scale main contractor projects will be advantageous.

Additional Information

Location: Changi We are looking for an experienced QS Manager to lead the commercial and contractual functions for building / civil construction projects in Singapore. The role will oversee cost control, contract administration, procurement, claims, variations, and final account matters to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in line with contractual requirements.
