• Things That Should Be In Your Background:
• 5-7+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or similar technical fields.
• Bachelor's degree is required, with a concentration in a mathematical or analytical field preferred (i.e.: Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science)
• Skilled in data analysis, data engineering and business intelligence
• Advanced understanding of SQL, efficiently & effectively applies best coding practices and demonstrates ability to upskill/assist others
• Advanced understanding of Python, efficiently & effectively apply best coding principles and demonstrates ability to upskill/assist others
• Advanced understanding of DBT and demonstrates proficiency in building data pipelines while assisting in upskilling/assisting others
• Skilled understanding of version control; efficiently create pull requests, collaborate, debug/track issues, document and host code
• Independently develop complex data models
• Experience with a reporting tool, such as Tableau
• Other Attributes That Will Help You In This Role:
• Demonstrates a solid understanding of product telemetry and event data, including supporting the validation and tracking of user journeys for product analytics.
• Manages multiple projects, resolves challenges swiftly, delivers adaptable approaches, and values diverse opinions.
• Takes ownership, anticipates new problems, tests solutions, and mentors others on effective problem-solving techniques.
• Sets quarterly goals aligned with team objectives, tracks progress in Workday, and communicates barriers to the manager. Takes personal responsibility for quality and timeliness of work, correcting mistakes and learning from them.
• Demonstrates expert understanding, introduces new tools/methodologies, and provides team training to enhance productivity.
• Tailors messages for audience understanding, engages respectfully in team meetings, synthesises thoughts effectively, presents confidently, and actively listens to stakeholders.
• Consistently builds and maintains key stakeholder relationships, perceived as a trusted partner, offers sound guidance, and navigates challenging relationships effectively.
