Job duties include, but are not limited to: Our Veterinary Assistants begin at an entry level position. A typical day requires lots of stocking and cleaning of the entire hospital. As the veterinary assistant learns the flow and ways of the hospital, progression to animal restraint and assisting of other support staff is required. You will at times also interact with pets and their owners; thus, customer service skills are key. You will work directly with the rest of our veterinary team to assure patients and clients receive the best care possible. Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases. Whether you're looking to just be a master of your role or trying to grow into that next career move, you'll have opportunities through a variety of virtual and hands on, interactive training and continuing development. We're looking for: A high work ethic and positive attitude team member Ability to arrive on-time and ready to work Computer skills a must! We are a paperless practice! Pays attention to detail and is a fast learner Exceptional customer service skills and ability to communicate precisely Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner A self-starter with the desire to continue to advance one's knowledge and skillset Ability to receive in a professional manner constructive feedback to maintain hospital efficiency A minimum of a high school degree or equivalent, and must be 18 years of age or older Schedule: Flexible scheduling (Monday through Thursday 7:00am - 7:00pm, Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm), We are Closed on Weekends!!
