Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Experience working in maintenance, a construction environment, and overall basic knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Practices and/or familiarity with Base Safety Regulations. Must obtain and maintain a SOFA driver's license. Knowledge of safety and occupational health concepts, principles, practices, procedures, techniques, standards, orders, and directives. Base Safety certification highly desirable but not required. Ability and experience in performing mishap investigations and other investigations related to unsafe practices, identifying/analyzing causal factors, and recommending actions to prevent recurrences. Ability to communicate orally and in writing in order to prepare and present reports, briefings, and investigation results to all levels of the organization. Position of trust. Incumbent must satisfactorily complete a Tier Level 1 background investigation. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
