Apollo is seeking a senior leader to oversee the firm's relationships with accounting advisory and professional services firms across the Apollo ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing Apollo's strategy for external advisory engagement management, including relationship oversight, commercial negotiations, governance processes, spend optimization, reporting, and strategic sourcing initiatives. The role sits at the intersection of Investments and Enterprise Solutions, requiring a highly commercial and analytical leader who can influence senior stakeholders, challenge conventional approaches, and drive measurable enterprise value. This position will play a critical role in ensuring Apollo maximizes its effectiveness, transparency, and return on investment of its external advisory spend while maintaining access to best-in-class expertise across the firm. Primary Responsibilities Serve as the primary relationship manager for Apollo's accounting advisory firms, including Big Four and select mid-tier providers, overseeing strategic relationships, performance management, and executive engagement across the firm. Lead enterprise-wide commercial negotiations, including rate card development, fee structure optimization, engagement economics, and vendor governance initiatives designed to improve transparency and drive value. Establish and maintain governance frameworks for the review, approval, and oversight of external advisory engagements, ensuring consistency, accountability, and appropriate escalation across business units. Partner with senior leaders across Private Equity, Credit, Athene, and Enterprise Solutions to assess advisory needs, evaluate provider selection, and optimize engagement structures. Develop and maintain firmwide reporting and analytics related to advisory firm utilization, spend, engagement activity, pipeline management, and performance measurement. Produce executive-level dashboards, presentations, and strategic analyses that provide leadership with transparency into advisory activity, spending trends, and optimization opportunities. Lead initiatives to create competitive sourcing processes, improve commercial outcomes, and challenge historical engagement practices through data-driven analysis and market benchmarking. Drive strategic cost management initiatives, including fee structure redesign, insourcing assessments, vendor rationalization, and process improvements that enhance enterprise value. Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, artificial intelligence, and enhanced data management capabilities to improve reporting, governance, and operational efficiency. Manage and develop team members supporting the function while building scalable processes and infrastructure to support future growth of the advisory management platform. Evaluate opportunities to expand the framework beyond accounting firms to broader consulting and professional services providers across the Apollo ecosystem. Qualifications & Experience Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree and/or professional certification preferred. 12+ years of experience in professional services, finance, consulting, procurement, advisory relationship management, accounting advisory, corporate strategy, or related discipline. Demonstrated experience negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing enterprise-level vendor or advisory firm relationships. Strong financial, analytical, and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize large data sets into actionable insights and executive-level recommendations. Experience building governance frameworks, operating models, reporting processes, and performance management programs across large organizations.
