Plant Worker (Mechanical Technician)

About the role

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of plant machinery (mixers, conveyors, pumps, etc.) Diagnose faults and repair or replace mechanical components (bearings, belts, seals, etc. Carry out fabrication work including welding, cutting, and grinding Assist in installation, alignment, and modification of equipment Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, vibrations, or abnormal conditions Ensure compliance with safety procedures, especially for hot work activities Maintain basic maintenance records and report breakdowns Support production team during breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs Minimum Matric/FSc, candidates with DAE Mechanical will be preferred 1-2 years of relevant experience preferably in an industrial setup Knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and plant machinery Hands-on skills in welding (arc, gas, MIG/TIG) and gas cutting Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance practices Knowledge of tools, equipment, and spare parts used in maintenance Understanding of safety procedures, especially hot work and permit-to-work systems Basic knowledge of alignment, fitting, and fabrication techniques Ability to use measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, etc.) Good communication and teamwork skills Basic documentation and reporting skills .
