About the role

Job Description: Collaborate with the Project Leader to execute the MOE-TIF project on AI-driven optimization of aeroponic systems. Manage and operate aeroponic cultivation systems for leafy vegetables and high-value fruiting crops. Design and conduct experiments to investigate plant physiological responses under different spray regimes and nutrient formulations. Monitor plant growth parameters, nutrient uptake efficiency, and environmental conditions to support AI model training. Plan and execute experiments, prepare progress reports, and provide regular updates on project milestone. Assist in system installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and modification of aeroponic equipment. Document experimental data, analyse results, and contribute to project reports and publication. Coordinate with industrial collaborators and support pilot testing at partner farm sites. Manage procurement processes, including liaising with vendors, sourcing materials, equipment, and testing supplies, and raising purchase requests. Document and track project issues, expenses, budget, action logs, and equipment maintenance. Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Project Leader. Job Requirement: Relevant qualification in Agricultural Science, Food Science, Horticulture, Plant Science, Agricultural Engineering, Biotechnology, or related disciplines. Hands-on experience in urban agriculture cultivation, plant nutrition management, and controlled environment agriculture systems. Experience in operating cultivation equipment and designing controlled experiments. Ability to work effectively in a team and follow project timelines and operational arrangements. Proven ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks with a strong sense of responsibility to meet project milestones. Candidates from related industries who are interested in transitioning into aeroponic and smart urban agriculture are encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be employed on a contract basis for two year duration of the project.
