- Ensure solutions incorporate appropriate levels of traceability, auditability, and lineage, particularly where AI-assisted processes are used.

- Essential Skills
- 10+ years of strong hands-on experience across data technologies, including modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Experience building and supporting data products or data-driven applications.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including coding, testing, and design patterns.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and modern data architectures (e.g. lakehouse).
- Ability to analyse requirements and produce robust technical designs.
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices and system resilience.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with version control systems (e.g. Git).
- AI & Modern Engineering Capability
- Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools (e.g. Copilot or similar) and their application in engineering workflows.
- Understanding of responsible AI principles, including traceability, explainability, and governance.
- Experience working with automated development pipelines incorporating testing, validation, and documentation generation.
