Requirements

• Bachelor degree in radiation therapy
• Min 2 years' of relevant work experience
• License to practice radiation therapy
• Registered with Allied Health Profession Council (AHPC)
• Attention to detail and ability to master and troubleshoot technical machinery
• Ability to maintain professionalism while working with sick patient
• Salary package will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Job Summary The primary purpose of the Radiation Therapist position is to function in a specialized area of radiation therapy in the role of direct patient care provider in the Department of Radiation Therapy. Deliverables & Responsibilities - To operate the linear accelerator and supporting treatment systems to treat patients in strict compliance to the prescription of Radiation Oncologist and generate accurate documentation of the doses delivered - To transfer and input patient treatment plan and parameters into the systems - To operate the CT simulator to produce CT images for treatment planning purposes following the specific request of the attending Radiation Oncologist - To carry out daily QA procedure for treatment machine and CT simulator - To explain to patients the procedures and possible side effects of treatment
