Assistant Psychologist

Responsibilities

• To undertake psychological assessment, report writing, clinical formulation and psychological interventions under the direction and supervision of the nominated clinician who holds clinical responsibility.
• To collaborate and contribute to regular MDT reviews for residents.
• To undertake any tasks, duties and projects that are deemed necessary to support the smooth-running of residents' care programmes, baseline assessments and specific therapies with supervision from the qualified Psychologist.
• To assist in clinically related administration, conduct of audits, collection of statistics, development of audit and/or research projects, teaching and project work as agreed and delegated by the qualified Psychologist.
• To act as a liaison point between the Psychology team and care staff in Cygnet settings.

• Degree qualified in Psychology (2:1 or above) or equivalent
• BPS (British Psychological Society) Accredited
• Preferably experienced in health care and/or in an Assistant Psychologist role
• Passionate about learning and working as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Qualified to Master??s degree level or higher in Psychology (preferable)

We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Broughton House and Satellites. This role will be working full time, 40 hours per week (8 hours per day - Monday to Friday e.g. 8.30 to 16.30). The post holder will be based at: Broughton House, 12 High Street, Brant Broughton, LN5 0SL The post holder will also be required to travel to some of the following Satellites: The Beeches, Retford Road, South Leverton, Retford, Nottinghamshire, DN22 0BY The Birches, Eton Avenue, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG24 4JD Elston House, Top Street Elston, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG23 5NP The Pines, 203 Park Hall Road, Mansfield Woodhouse, Nottinghamshire, NG19 8QX Main Purpose of the Job: Broughton House and the Satellites provide specialist residential services with multidisciplinary support (psychology, psychiatry, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy) for residents aged 16 years and above with severe intellectual disabilities and/or autism spectrum disorder, who may also present with challenging behaviours. Broughton House consists of four homes providing specialist care to a total of 29 residents aged 16 years and above. The role also requires support to be provided to each of the five Satellites, which includes No.12 High Street, that is located across the road from Broughton House, the Beeches that is located in Retford, the Birches that is located in Newark, Elston House that is located in Newark, and the Pines that is located in Mansfield Woodhouse. There will be a total of three Assistant Psychologists working across Broughton House and some of the Satellites under the supervision of a qualified Psychologist.
