The Opportunity: We are seeking outstanding candidates of demonstrated ability and high potential in the area of Applied Economics. The role is aimed at final stage PhD students, or recent PhDs in Economics, who are seeking the opportunity to focus on teaching and research and to establish their credibility as candidates in the job market. We are looking for candidates with teaching and research expertise in Applied Economics The role will be split between research (35%) and teaching (65%). Teaching could be at either or both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The Successful candidate will receive: Personal mentoring support from a senior academic in the School of Economics; Access to staff training courses, and development opportunities from the University's Institute of Academic Development. This is a full-time, fixed-term post for 24 months only with a start date of 1 st September 2026, or shortly thereafter.
