About You To be our Legal Editor , you will likely have: A degree from an accredited law school or equivalent relevant legal qualification - essential. Native Arabic speaker with full professional fluency in English - essential. Deep knowledge of Middle Eastern legal systems, with particular familiarity with Civil Law principles as applied across the MENA region. Understanding of the structure and publication of official legal materials (gazettes, court reporting, regulatory instruments) in one or more MENA jurisdictions. Exceptional legal reading and analytical skills in Arabic, with the ability to quickly assess the significance and relevance of complex legal documents. Sound editorial judgement and decisiveness - able to make quality prioritisation decisions confidently and at pace. Meticulous attention to detail, with well-developed proofreading skills in both Arabic and English. Ability to manage competing priorities, pivot quickly to address high-priority updates, and maintain quality under pressure. Self-starter with the initiative to work independently and the discipline to meet publishing schedules without close supervision. Comfortable with digital research environments, content management systems, AI enhanced workflows, and online legal research tools.
