Maintenance Mechanic I

About the role

Maintains and repairs the facility's structure, equipment and grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC. Performs skilled trades work, such as carpentry or painting in the construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls, roofs or office fixtures. Works with manufacturing or process engineering in the installation or repair of building plumbing and wiring required in the production process. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary. Works from blueprints, drawings or rough sketches. Job Description SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS Required Certifications and Training Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility. Experience Level with Business Tools Familiar with business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. LEVEL DESCRIPTION Skill Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Job Complexity Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Supervision Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instruction only on new assignments.
