Deputy Editor

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day editorial operations across print and digital
• Commission, edit, and write features, profiles, interviews, and cultural commentary
• Manage editorial calendars, story planning, and publishing schedules
• Possess a good understanding of emerging trends, personalities, and conversations relevant to GQ's audience
• Ensure editorial quality, tone, and consistency across all platforms
• Represent GQ Singapore at events, while maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the industry

Requirements

• 4-6+ years of experience in editorial and publishing
• Strong understanding of luxury, fashion, watches, grooming, entertainment, and culture
• Strong leadership and project management skills
• Deep understanding of social media, audience behaviour, and digital publishing trends
• Ability to balance editorial integrity with commercial awareness
• Confident editorial voice with strong creative instincts
• Detail-oriented while able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Able to translate global GQ standards through a distinctly Singapore perspective

Additional Information

We are looking for a Deputy Editor for GQ Singapore , who will report directly to the Managing Editor. Together, the Deputy Editor will be responsible for maintaining editorial voice, the magazine's content strategy and manage editorial operations. He/she will also work closely with the team members, from editorial to sales and marketing, ensuring a smooth workflow within the team.
