About the role
Ampol is recruiting a newly created Project Scheduler & Controls Specialist role supporting a large, complex EV infrastructure portfolio across ANZ. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity which can be located in Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne . This role sits at the heart of project delivery, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and visibility across more than 100 concurrent projects. Rather than building detailed schedules, you will act as a critical partner to Deployment Managers, maintaining accurate project data, strengthening reporting, and identifying risks and delays to support effective decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Deployment Managers to ensure project data is accurate, current, and aligned
- Maintain project records, timelines, and reporting consistency across the portfolio
- Review and validate monthly reporting cycles to ensure data integrity and reliability
- Identify risks, delays, dependencies, and bottlenecks across projects
- Provide clear insights on project performance and areas requiring intervention
- Proactively follow up with stakeholders to drive accountability and data accuracy
- Support alignment to standard templates, milestones, and deployment phases
- Contribute to structured monthly checkpoints, including progress tracking and forecasting inputs
- Qualifications & Experience
- 3-5 years' experience in project or program support within infrastructure, construction, or digital environments
- Exposure to multi-project environments with an understanding of timelines, dependencies, and delivery phases
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and reporting quality
- Confident working with waterfall-style project management approaches
- Experience with project management software, such as Microsoft Project
- Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable engaging stakeholders to drive outcomes
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, risks, and gaps in project data
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is desirable but not essential
