  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Manufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE

  • Flexible and willing to work overtime if necessary

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for a CNC Mill Machinist II or III for our Burbank, CA location. First Shift Hours are Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM -2:00 PM. Overtime may adjust start time (e.g., 4:30 AM for extended overtime) and/or extend end time. Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required. Job Summary: The CNC Machinist produces machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records and maintaining equipment and supplies. Essential Functions: Understand work orders, blueprints, manufacturing orders, and machining parameters Validate material used Maintain specifications; Troubleshoot, detect malfunctions and take appropriate actions; Know when to replace worn tools Listen to machining operation in order to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and compensate for problems Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments, templates, fixtures and knowledge of GDT standards Maintain continuity among shifts by documenting and communicating actions taken thus far as well as any necessary further steps Any other task assigned by supervisor or management Non-Essential Functions: Maintain conscientious work behaviors including work ethic, safety standards, quality, costs, and On-Time Delivery (OTD)
