About the role
Our client is a well-established construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider. Currently, they are currently seeking for Group Accountant to be part of HR team. JOB DIMENSION (SCOPE) Supports financial reporting, group consolidation, and regulatory compliance for an SGX-listed group with multiple subsidiaries. The role ensures timely, accurate, and compliant reporting in accordance with SFRS(I)/IFRS, SGX Listing Rules, and statutory requirements, while supporting audit, tax, and corporate reporting obligations. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidations, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliation of minority interests. Review subsidiary management accounts and prepare consolidated management reports with detailed variance analysis for Management and Board reporting. Support quarterly and annual SGX financial announcements, ensuring compliance with SGX Listing Rules and timelines. Prepare draft group financial statements (SFRS(I)), including disclosures, notes, and supporting schedules. Coordinate statutory and SGX-related audits across subsidiaries; manage audit deliverables and resolve audit queries promptly. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries on statutory audits, corporate tax matters, and XBRL filings. Support budgeting and forecasting at group level, including analysis of variances against budget and prior periods. Assist Finance Manager and Financial Controller in overseeing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close, ensuring accuracy and reporting deadlines are met. Implement new or revised accounting standards and SGX disclosure requirements, assessing impact and coordinating adoption across the Group. Drive process improvement, standardisation, and automation initiatives to strengthen internal controls and reporting efficiency. Provide technical accounting guidance to finance teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and governance in group reporting. Support ad hoc projects, corporate initiatives, and finance-related matters as required by Management. JOB REQUIREMENTS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification. Minimum 3 to 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting / construction / engineering industries. Experience in Accounts Payable or Full Sets of Accounts. Strong knowledge of project cost tracking and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel. Positive attitude with able to work independently under tight deadlines and well-organised.
