THE JOB / Senior Account Manager (Sports Partnerships) (Payment Services Client) CLIENT SERVICES / Responsible for leading Octagon's client business and day-to-day management of client programs. As a Senior Account Manager within Octagon's Client Services team, you will play a key role in managing a high-profile, long-term partnership between a global brand and a professional golf tour, while also supporting projects across an integrated, multi-vertical account team. In this role, you will support day-to-day partnership management across a dynamic golf portfolio, including year-round programming, asset planning and utilization, execution of a tournament title sponsorship, and management of ambassador partnerships. Opportunity to contribute across our client's broader sports portfolio will also be a need. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, ensuring the brand's objectives are seamlessly integrated into high-impact sponsorships, tentpole events, and partner initiatives. This position requires strong client leadership, operational excellence, and the ability to navigate a complex, multi-stakeholder environment-including co-brand partners, inter-agency teams, and cross-functional internal teams THE WORK YOU'LL DO Manage day-to-day operations of the client's golf, and broader sports, sponsorship portfolio Build and cultivate strong relationships with clients, properties, talent, and vendors Lead consumer activation planning and execution for a tentpole event sponsorship, including vendor management, client approvals, and oversight of on-site staff Collaborate with partner marketing teams to develop and execute co-marketing programs, including oversight of sponsorship assets and partner communications/approvals Manage talent, including coordinating ambassador appearances, contracting non-ambassador talent and on-site handling Lead client and partner status calls, providing updates, tracking progress against deadlines, and defining next steps Provide POVs and strategic recommendations for activation concepts and partnership opportunities Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution Oversee key program elements from planning through execution Manage budgets, finance trackers, and program reconciliations Develop key deliverables, including activation plans, recaps, project timelines, and asset trackers Stay engaged with industry news, develop POVs and client recommendations as needed Supervise and support junior team members, including oversight of work quality and career development Ensure quality control across all deliverables and client-facing materials Support additional account needs and special projects as assigned THE BIGGER TEAM YOU'LL JOIN Recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work in Sports" , Octagon is the global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing arm of the Omnicom Group. WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR 5+ years of relevant sponsorship and/or agency experience Proven experience in golf sponsorship industry preferred, but not required A strategic problem solver with demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to solve problems efficiently and independently Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a dedication to developing talent underneath and around you Experience delivering integrated sponsorship activations and campaigns Outstanding project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and produce quality work within strict timelines Exceptional financial competence, including building, managing, and reconciling budgets Superior verbal and written communicator - able to scale and adapt communications for different audiences to optimally and succinctly articulate agency positioning and expertise Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Moderate (20-40%) The base range for this position is $65,000 - 75,000.
