Sr. HR Generalist, Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) If you thrive in dynamic environments, supporting leaders, working with manufacturing teams, and contributing to continuous improvement in people processes, this job might be for you! The North America Valmet People & Culture team, People Operations, is looking for an energetic and driven professional who has strong background as a HR generalist and is ready to take the next step joining a great team. This role reports to the North America People Operations Manager, responsible for people processes across the US and Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to a variety of teams across the US and Canada in the employee life cycle activities and partnering with HR Managers as well as the manufacturing leaders and employees in the Southeast of the United States. Some of the key responsibilities include: Manage essential employee lifecycle activities including onboarding/offboarding Supporting employee relations topics (i.e., administering discipline, etc.) Conducting investigations and recommending actions Coaching leaders in various people topics (i.e., performance improvement, policies, etc.) Support in the disability management program Manage employee complaints or first/second level grievances working closely with HR managers Enhance people operations processes on the employee life cycle activities Support HR transformation model (i.e., Workday Help module implementation and change management) Expected travel: 15-25% (max 1 week a month). This position is located at our North America headquarters in Norcross, GA with work scheduling around a hybrid 3 days in office routine. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. Master's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience in a global organization. Manufacturing experience and experience maintaining positive employee relations. Union experience is a plus. Hands-on experience supporting employee relations, HR processes and full life cycle administration. Experience with project management tools/ continuous improvement initiatives Proficient in HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (Solid/advance Excel and Power Point required). Knowledge of project management tools. Knowledge of US labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance (Canada law knowledge is a plus) Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; able to coach and create positive change. Ability to manage complexity, challenge status quo and drive continuous improvement. Ability to build trusted partnerships across the organization Strong analytical and execution skills. Success in this position requires the ability to collaborate with leaders and employees across multiple functions, supported by effective communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
