Job Description Summary The Senior Director ITC, CES, serves as part of the ITC Leadership Team and is responsible for setting the strategic vision for obtaining and managing export authorizations and overseeing ITC risk area processes and programming for the Commercial Engines and Systems business. This critical role will be responsible for managing a team of ITC professionals and driving risk area program objectives. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Set the strategic vision and oversee the preparation, submission, and management of all CES export authorizations. Build, develop, and manage a team of ITC professionals to drive ITC requirements into standard work for various functions within CES. Prioritize effective collaboration with key business stakeholders and authorization owners to ensure accurate and timely authorizations. Maintain and oversee implementation of the ITC Authorization Management SOP, authorization management standard work, and digital tools (e.g., OCR EASE database) to ensure full compliance with regulatory administrative requirements and reporting. Conduct periodic control testing, as necessary, to evaluate overall compliance with the terms and conditions of government authorizations. Partner with the ITC Executive Leader to develop strategies to enhance CES risk-area management capacity, deepen risk-management governance, and drive overall compliance excellence within the ITC risk area. Oversee the CES ITC annual risk-assessment process, assess control gaps, and monitor remediation. Lead engagement and communication with government officials, as needed, to support license submissions. Support trade-compliance awareness and foster a positive trade-compliance culture within CES. Oversee and manage the CES export focal program, including effective communication flow-down, training, and regular engagement driving continuous improvement. Identify, analyze, and implement robust compliance systems and IT tools to enhance export operations. Monitor and report to business stakeholders and partners on relevant regulatory and policy updates impacting CES licenses and trade compliance, and provide advice to business stakeholders regarding implications and requirements on GE Aerospace business strategy. Identify training gaps within your business area and develop and deliver training to enhance knowledge and awareness of trade compliance requirements. Set and execute against key performance and key risk metrics. Support deployment of CES-specific ITC policies, procedures, SOPs, standard work, tools, and compliance training within the CES organization. Implement and maintain appropriate recordkeeping policies and procedures, and satisfy applicable reporting requirements. Collaborate with ITC leadership to drive continuous improvement. Undertake special projects and support other compliance-program continuous-improvement initiatives. Own FLIGHT DECK implementation across the CES ITC organization, including an organizational capability-building strategy, creation and management of KPIs, bowlers, and other lean tools, and drive accountability and tracking of ITC priorities. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 10 years of professional experience in International Trade Compliance or Associates degree with minimum of 12 years of professional experience in International Trade Compliance or High School Diploma with minimum of 14 years of professional experience International Trade Compliance Minimum 8 years of professional experience in International Trade Compliance Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills.
